Presentation HP MJF 4200
Presentation HP MJF 4200
On the occasion of the Open House event on November 11, we presented our HP MJF 4200 to the Swiss Mittelland region for the first time. Interested parties from the business and hobby sectors were able to get an impression of the performance spectrum of this modern 3D printer on site.
MJF – Multi Jet Fusion
The HP MJF 4200 3D printer is equally suitable for prototypes and small series. Complex shapes with wall thicknesses of 0.4-0.5 mm can be created easily without support structures or auxiliary tools. PA12 is a very robust and chemically resistant material. It can also be machined very well to produce precise dimensions if required. Externally, the workpieces have a slightly porous gray surface. Internally, however, they are completely water- and airtight. The core is black in color. For optical post-treatment, we work with various partners, including Dyemansion and Rösler.
FDM and SLA
Visitors were also able to take a look at FDM and SLA 3D printers. The Raise3D pro2 is a dual extruder FDM 3D printer. This enables two-color printing. With nozzles ranging from 0.2 to 0.6 mm, there is a wide selection available. This makes it possible to print in high detail or at high speed. A Formlabs Form 3 printer is available for SLA applications. Various epoxy resins enable rapid prototyping or precise, detailed workpieces. With a special epoxy resin, flexible workpieces with a hardness of 80 Shore can also be printed.
Conclusion
Those present were given a practical and personal demonstration of additive manufacturing, its technologies, and possibilities. Afterwards, there was an opportunity to exchange ideas and make contacts over refreshments. We took advantage of this opportunity not only to spruce up our workshop, but also to produce a short video for presentation purposes. So now you can find us not only at LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram and YouTube.
We would like to thank HP and SGSolution AG for providing us with interesting demo parts and giveaways. These can be viewed at our second event on November 24, 2021, among other places.
